What awaits you
Ten Wine Towns compete in barrel pushing, slalom and grape treading.
Seven food courtyards in the old town, each with its own colour and its own dish.
Seven wineries are waiting along the streets of the old town to let you taste the local wines.
Craftspeople, period games, farm animals and old trades along the streets.
Stilt walkers, fire and violin, up to the cascade of stars of «Incanto».
Vineyards, Avio Castle, Tenuta San Leonardo and the historic Casa del Vicario.
Sunday 6 September · 14:30
The most awaited moment of the festival. After the historical parade, the teams of the Wine Towns from all over Italy compete by pushing their barrels through the streets of the village. The winner of the pushing contest will represent Avio at the National Palio.
Finding your way
And yet people still found their way around Avio. The booklet is in your pocket: open that one, look up and follow your nose. And if you get lost among the courtyards, all the better — that is exactly how you find the good ones.
“There are places you visit and places you live.”
This is the second kind.
With our sincere thanks to
«Uva e Dintorni» is born of the collaboration and commitment of associations, volunteers and residents who every year put their passion into making the event happen. Special thanks go to the cultural, tourist and sports associations of the area, to the Fire Brigade, to Stella d’Oro Bassa Vallagarina, to Nu.Vol.A., to the volunteers, to our friends and to all the families who opened their own courtyards, welcoming the festival and its visitors along the way.
